About Reorder PDF Pages
Reorder PDF lets you change the sequence of pages in a PDF. Every page appears as a thumbnail; drag one to its new spot, and the rest shift to make room. When the order is right, save the file.
Page order goes wrong in predictable ways. A scan of a stapled booklet comes out with the centre spread first. A presentation export puts the appendix slides before the summary. Someone adds a late page to the end of a report when it belongs in chapter two. Reordering fixes the sequence without rebuilding the document from scratch.
The tool moves whole pages. It doesn't change what's printed on them, so text stays selectable and the file keeps its quality.
How to use Reorder PDF Pages
- Open the PDF whose pages are in the wrong order.
- Drag each thumbnail to its correct position. On touch screens, tap the left and right arrows under a page.
- Use Reverse order if the whole document runs backwards.
- Rotate or remove pages on the way if you spot problems.
- Click Save new PDF and download the reordered file.

Reordering long documents without losing track
For a handful of pages, dragging is fastest. For long documents, work in passes. First, scroll through the thumbnails and note which pages sit in the wrong place, using the original page number shown under each one. Then move them one at a time, starting from the top. Moving pages from the top down keeps the positions of pages you haven't touched yet predictable.
Booklet scans have a pattern of their own. When you scan a stapled booklet by opening it flat, each scan holds two pages side by side, and the order follows the sheets rather than the reading order. Split each spread into two pages first with Crop PDF on two copies, combine them, then reorder here.
If a page belongs in a different document altogether, remove it here and add it there with Combine PDF. If you need the same page twice, for example a map that should appear in two chapters, combine the file with itself first and delete the copies you don't need.
Reordering doesn't renumber printed page numbers. If the pages carry numbers in the footer, the old numbers stay. Remove them in the source document, or crop the footer away and add fresh numbers with Add Page Numbers.
Tips for better results

- Use the original page number under each thumbnail to find pages quickly.
- Save often when you reorder very long documents in several sessions.
- Add page numbers after reordering so the printed numbers match the new order.
