Sobre Redimensionar imágenes
Make images the size you actually need without uploading them. Set a percentage to scale everything down, or type an exact width and let the height follow so nothing gets stretched.
The resize runs on your device with the browser's high-quality image scaling, so results look clean at any size and your pictures stay private.
Perfect for shrinking 4000-pixel phone photos before emailing them, preparing web images, or fitting uploads with size limits.
Cómo usar Redimensionar imágenes
- Choose or drop the images to resize.
- Pick Percent to scale, or Width for an exact pixel size.
- Set the value – the preview shows the new dimensions of the first image.
- Press Resize and download the result (a zip when there are several).
Aspect ratio locked
Height is calculated from each image's own proportions, so photos never look squashed or stretched.
Percent or pixels
Halve everything with 50%, or standardize widths at 1280, 1920 – whatever your target needs.
High-quality scaling
The browser's smooth image interpolation keeps edges clean when shrinking.
Private and unlimited
Images are processed on your device only. No accounts, no queues, no watermark, no file count limits.
What resizing does to an image
Resizing (scaling) recalculates every pixel: the new image is drawn from the old one at a different size using interpolation – the browser samples neighbouring pixels so edges stay smooth rather than blocky. Shrinking is generally kind to images; enlarging beyond the original size makes blur visible, because detail that was never captured cannot be invented.
File size usually follows pixel count: half the width and half the height is a quarter of the pixels, so a 50% resize often cuts the file by 70% or more. If you need the file even smaller, run the result through the image converter afterwards with JPG or WebP at 85–90% quality.
Consejos para mejores resultados
- For email and chat, 1280–1920 px wide is plenty for viewing on any screen.
- Resize before converting formats – working on fewer pixels is faster.
- Scaling below 25% of the original can make thin lines fade; check text and logos closely.
- Need a smaller file, not smaller dimensions? Convert to WebP or JPG instead.
Preguntas y respuestas
Does resizing change the quality?
Shrinking keeps images looking sharp – the browser resamples smoothly. Enlarging past the original size will look soft because detail cannot be invented.
Can I set width and height separately?
The tool locks the aspect ratio: you set width (or a percent) and height follows. This prevents distorted photos.
What format is the output?
PNG, JPG and WebP keep their original format. Other inputs come back as PNG.
Is there a size or count limit?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so the only limit is your device's memory.
