O que é Protect PDF with Password?

Protecting a PDF adds password encryption so that anyone opening the file must enter the password you set. NewKitApp applies 256-bit AES encryption server-side — the same standard banks and governments rely on — which scrambles the PDF's contents so it can't be read without the password. This is the right way to secure a contract, financial statement, or any sensitive document before emailing or storing it. The password itself is never stored: it's used only for the moment of encryption, then discarded along with your file after processing. Browser-only tools can't reliably encrypt a PDF; doing it server-side guarantees strong, standards-compliant protection.

Como usar Protect PDF with Password

  1. Drag your PDF onto the dropzone, or click to choose a file.
  2. Enter a strong password, then type it again to confirm. Use a password you'll remember — there's no recovery if you lose it.
  3. Click Protect PDF. The file is encrypted and ready in seconds.
  4. Download the protected PDF. You'll need the password to open it from now on.

Erros comuns

  • Using a weak password — with encryption, the password IS the security; use a long, random one.
  • Forgetting the password — there's no recovery, and we can't help you decrypt it.
  • Confusing protection (encryption) with sanitizing (stripping code) — they solve different problems.

  • The password is never stored — used only for encryption, then discarded.
