¿Qué es Audio Balance Tester?

Audio Balance Tester plays a test tone through your chosen audio channel — left only, right only, or both — so you can quickly verify that your speakers or headphones produce equal volume on each side and that channels are correctly wired.

Cómo usar Audio Balance Tester

  1. Click 'LEFT only', 'BOTH', or 'RIGHT only' to select which channel(s) to test.
  2. Use the balance slider for fine-grained panning between -100 (full left) and +100 (full right).
  3. Choose a test frequency: 250 Hz (bass), 1 kHz (mid), or 4 kHz (treble), or enter a custom value.
  4. Adjust the volume slider to a comfortable level.
  5. Click Play and listen — sound should appear to come from the selected direction.

Ejemplos

Headphone wiring check

Entrada: LEFT only, then RIGHT only

Salida: If LEFT plays in your right ear, your headphones are backwards or miswired

Speaker balance

Entrada: BOTH (center), 1 kHz, seated equidistant from speakers

Salida: Sound should appear to come from exactly between the two speakers

Balance calibration

Entrada: Drag slider left and right while playing

Salida: Visual pan indicator moves in sync with perceived stereo position

Errores comunes

  • Not checking OS audio balance first — many operating systems have a built-in left/right balance control that, if misconfigured, will override any test result.
  • Testing over Bluetooth — Bluetooth audio compression and buffering can introduce slight channel imbalances that don't reflect true hardware performance.
  • Using very high test frequencies at full volume — keep volume low when testing above 4 kHz to avoid discomfort.

Por qué usar esta herramienta

  • One-click channel isolation makes left/right problems immediately audible.
  • Visual stereo field indicator confirms the pan position at a glance.
  • Multiple test frequencies help reveal frequency-dependent channel differences.
  • Entirely browser-based — no installation, fully private.
