Dead Pixel Tester

Fill your screen with solid colors to quickly spot dead or stuck pixels.

Click a color, then Test Fullscreen to check for dead or stuck pixels. Look for dots that don't match the background color. Use arrow keys to cycle colors in fullscreen.

O que é Dead Pixel Tester?

Dead Pixel Tester fills your entire screen with a single solid color so you can easily spot dead pixels (which stay black) or stuck pixels (which remain a fixed color). Cycle through red, green, blue, white, black, cyan, magenta, and yellow to check every sub-pixel on your display.

Como usar Dead Pixel Tester

  1. Click a color swatch to fill the preview area with that color.
  2. Click 'Test Fullscreen' to enter fullscreen mode for a complete screen-wide inspection.
  3. Scan your screen carefully for tiny dots that don't match the background.
  4. Use the arrow keys (or on-screen buttons in fullscreen) to cycle through colors.
  5. Press Escape or click the exit button to leave fullscreen.

Exemplos

Sub-pixel fault detection

Entrada: Cycle through pure Red, Green, and Blue

Saída: A tiny black dot on any color indicates a dead sub-pixel for that color channel

Stuck pixel detection

Entrada: Pure Black screen

Saída: A colored dot on a black background is a stuck (not dead) pixel — these sometimes respond to color cycling

White uniformity check

Entrada: Pure White screen, dim the room

Saída: Look for yellow or grey patches that indicate backlight non-uniformity

Erros comuns

  • Testing in a brightly lit room — ambient reflections make dead and stuck pixels much harder to see; dim the lights before testing.
  • Only checking one color — some pixel faults affect only a specific sub-pixel (R, G, or B); always test all colors to find them.
  • Confusing dust or fingerprints for dead pixels — clean your screen with a soft cloth before testing.
