Qu’est-ce que Keyboard Tester ?
Keyboard Tester is an interactive browser-based tool that visualizes your physical keyboard in real time. Press any key and it lights up on the on-screen layout — so you can quickly confirm that every key on your laptop, desktop keyboard, or external keyboard registers correctly, without installing any drivers or software.
Comment utiliser Keyboard Tester
- Click anywhere inside the tester area to focus it, then start pressing keys.
- Each key lights up as you press it and stays highlighted to show it was successfully detected.
- Keys currently held down glow brightly; released keys remain dimly highlighted.
- Check the 'Last key' panel to see the exact key name, code, and keyCode value.
- Switch between the Windows and Mac layouts if the modifier legends don't match your keyboard.
- Click 'Reset' to clear all highlights and start a fresh test.

Entrée : Press every key one by one, row by row

Sortie : If the key doesn't light up, it is not registering — likely a hardware fault

Erreurs courantes
- Forgetting to click the tester area first — the tool needs browser focus to receive keyboard events; click once inside the panel before testing.
- Confusing 'key not detected' with 'key not shown' — very unusual macro or media keys may not appear in the layout but are still reported in the Last Key panel.
- Testing only a few keys — run through every row including function keys, modifiers, and the numpad to get a complete picture.
