Domain Availability Checker
Check real domain availability via RDAP, and batch-check brand-name variations across TLDs.
Suggest brand-name domains
Generates common TLD, prefix, and suffix variations of a base name and checks real availability for each.
Qu’est-ce que Domain Availability Checker ?
Domain Availability Checker looks up whether a domain name is already registered by querying RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), the structured, machine-readable successor to WHOIS. Type any domain and the tool asks the authoritative registry — resolved automatically via IANA's bootstrap registry, the same mechanism a WHOIS client uses to find the right server for any TLD — whether that name is taken, and if so returns its registrar, registration and expiry dates, and nameservers. Beyond a single lookup, the tool can also generate a batch of brandable variations of a base name (across TLDs like .com, .io, .co, .app, and .dev, plus common get-/try-/-hq style prefixes and suffixes) and check every one for real availability in a single pass, so naming a new project doesn't mean checking each candidate one at a time.
Comment utiliser Domain Availability Checker
- Type a domain name (e.g. example.com) into the domain field and click "Check availability", or press Enter.
- Read the result: available (nobody owns it yet), registered (with registrar, dates, and nameservers), or unsupported (the TLD doesn't publish RDAP).
- To brainstorm and check alternatives at once, type a base name or keyword into the brand-name field below and click "Suggest names".
- Review the generated list — each entry shows Available, Taken, or Unknown — and copy any domain you like with its copy button.

Erreurs courantes
- Treating an 'available' result as a locked-in reservation — register promptly, since availability can change before checkout.
- Assuming a domain is unregistered just because it doesn't resolve in a browser — many registered domains have no active website, DNS records, or nameservers pointed at anything.
- Reading 'unsupported' as 'available' — they are different outcomes; unsupported means the tool couldn't determine status at all for that TLD.
- Ignoring the expiry date on a registered domain that looks abandoned — a domain isn't available to register again until it actually lapses through the registry's full expiration process, which can take weeks past the shown date.
